dvd was already a standard format with no compitiion long before the ps2 dropped, so no sony had no real part with its ps2 in making dvd the defacto format as much as they would like to say they did, they simply didnt.
if there were more games on the ps3 that intrested me right now i would probably do this, i think for now though i'll just wait for maybe a true redesign and price drop. by xmas 08 i'm sure i'll be able to justify a ps3 purchase.
i read someplace that they are remaking it for the 360/ps3 its like 100% the same with some extra stuff at the end and the engine is being reworked to take advantage of next-gen systems.
the title is the only thing thats gonna cause a flame war simeply because *NEEDED* would imply that the 360/pc WONT have the game because it can only fit on blu-ray.... however obviously it ISNT *NEEDED* cuz the 360/pc ARE getting the game on 2 dvd's... big deal i say. so xbox owners have to change the disk one whole time... WOW. major problems there.
AAA is like nothing below 9.5 for reviews, lair will avg about 8.5 i think. any game that runs at > 20fps is NOT AAA. deal with it.

no not all the things were fixed they said the framerate still dropped below 30fps. so if that wasnt fixed by his admission, there may be other things he missed too since he said he only played it for a short bit before the review shipped.
